Keeping a healthy lifestyle when you’re a working Mom

Managing a Healthy Lifestyle as a Mom is a lot more
difficult than I had originally anticipated.
During our pregnancy we were so concerned about losing the baby weight that we lose track of what happens when we return to work and try to balance life. So often it’s easy to find some fast food or order pizza that we forget about the long term effects it can have on us.
Fast forward to your Toddler at the age of 2, who now can tell you “French Fries.”
I’ve had challenges with maintaining my weight and health since my early 20’s. I turned to Weight Watchers® as it was a brand I recognized and trusted. I still remember as a child my Grandmother making Weight Watchers recipes. Many of those have been passed down through the generations.
Where are all of my Weight Watchers Mom’s – Heyyyyy!
This spring I’ve made a goal to increase my activity and improve our family’s eating habits. I know it won’t come easy but I am confident with small changes daily I can get back to a lifestyle and fitness routine in the outdoors that I loved.
I started in early April making healthier decisions incorporating Weight Watchers Freestyle™ program with zero Points® foods and Weight Watchers products.
I love the convenience – you can find the best Weight Watcher products at your local Walmart!
I’ve started to pack my lunch at least 3 days a week and I’m including snack items for those times you just need an extra something so prevent an unhealthy alternative.
My favorites by far have been the Flatout® Flatbread endorsed by Weight Watchers, JOLLY TIME® Healthy Pop® Popcorn endorsed by Weight Watchers, & Weight Watchers® Ice Cream Novelties.
The Flatout Flatbread has added a new DELICIOUS flavor that your typical bread choices do not offer. I still make a lot of my favorite sandwiches and just select for the Flatout Flatbread and turn it into a wrap instead! They are available in the deli/bread aisle and only between 2 – 4 SmartPoints®!
My most common snack attack food is the JOLLY TIME Healthy Pop Popcorn.
I was able to find 2 different flavors, once again at Walmart! They are Gluten-free and 3 SmartPoints per serving! I include one of each flavor in my bag because you never know who will want to share!
Let’s not forget when we need something sweet! I am particularly lucky and have access to a freezer at work but you can often find me snacking on a Weight Watchers Giant Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream Bar. They are 4 points per serving and absolutely delicious!
Our struggle is so real as a Mom, we need to find a balance to keep our health on track. I am going to keep writing about my journey and what has worked best for me over the next 6 months.
Check out more of their great products on their social media channels!
Let me know what you’ve found that works for you!
Much love ~xxoo~ Darcy
