As a first time mom the difficulty of keeping a steady stream of entertainment for your baby can be overwhelming. You don’t want to be the Mom that hands them an iPad, sits them in front of the TV, or neglects their need for exploration and excitement. Baby toys can be a guided help for developmental milestones and fun for the whole family.
Your baby’s development in the first 12 months is exciting and you’ll have a full camera roll on your phone to prove it! There are so many baby toys and options to help their development along the way. Before you run out and buy the store (Its hard not to once you get there) Keep in mind the development time frame (maybe a bit longer for some than others) before you buy baby toys that won’t get used.
Believe it or not, you don’t need every baby toy in the store.
I have even taken my son with me and given him a few in the cart to see what keeps his attention. You’ll need to practice ninja skills at the counter if you don’t intend on making the purchase at that time, but it does work.
Here are the toy’s our son has enjoyed the most growing up and at 18 months old still goes back to play with them! Most of these grow with their age and I would buy them again for for another baby without hesitation!
Baby Toys – 0-3 Months
Lifting of their head and chest while on their tummy
Eye movement will become more focused on objects

It can be a world of fun for the parents too. I still don’t know how I will ever part with these toys because they have meant so much to our son and the fun we have all had together! He is growing up way too fast. Enjoy every minute!
